St. Mary’s WWII Plaque and Roll of Honour

The marble plaque commemorating the Fallen of WWII is on the wall in the Lady Chapel; as with the WWI plaque, it lists the rank and regiment of those who fell.  Click the picture for an enlarged image.

Recently a book entitled “Tutbury – the World War – 1939-1945” has been found at the church.  Hand written in an Old English script, it lists all the men from Tutbury who served in WWII.  It is hoped to have a facsimile of the book and a list of the names available on the website soon.  Click on the picture on the left for a larger image.
